Sports Sales Strategy - GTM Lead is responsible for formulating the Hotstar’s sports ad sales proposition on back of external market intelligence and internal user growth and product/ content innovations. This role reports into the Sales Sports Strategy Head who reports in to the overall Sales Strategy Head for Hotstar

Your key responsibilities


    • DEVELOP HOTSTAR SPORTS PROPOSITION
    • Build a narrative for why advertisers should invest on Hotstar: Value proposition laying out points of differentiation vs. other mediums
    • Develop deeper insight and understanding of the dynamic market requirements through advertiser/client interaction, and facilitate “Why Buy?” propose solutions more suited to client needs, hence resulting in better monetization of advertising opportunities
    •  In tune with Digital marketing trends- consumer and customer, New age App industry, Big data and Analytics 
    • Create customized solutions to key advertisers linked to their marketing objectives

    • OWN HOTSTAR’S SPORTS USER GROWTH PROJECTIONS
    • Model Hotstar’s user growth projections based on historical trends and market realities
    • Develop advertiser value propositions linked to our position of strength on these metrics vs. other digital & TV mediums

    • STRATEGIC OUTLOOK TO THE PORTFOLIO BUSINESS
    • Constantly review current methodologies, tools and indexes and incorporate new approaches to pitch and present our products to advertisers and sponsors.
    • Develop tracking mechanisms & prepare various dashboards to increase sales efficiencies and catch inefficiencies in a good market. Building sharp execution templates

    • BUILD RELEVANT POST-EVALUATION PROCESS

    • Understand how advertisers measure campaign success: Key metrics used, 3rd party evaluations done (Nielsen, Kantar etc.)
    • Collaborate with measurement lead to develop key elements of sports evaluation decks

    • COLLABORATION
    • Effectively collaborate with different sales strategy teams (Ad Tech, Ad Ops and Brand solutions), front line sales team and other Hotstar teams (Product, Content etc.) to develop solutions  

What to bring

    • Total experience of 5-7 yrs, of which 3-4 yrs of consulting would be preferred
    • Structured problem solver - Ability to develop solutions in an ambiguous environment
    • Strong in analytics with a high comfort around excel modeling
    • Should have worked in inter team and intra team collaborative roles
