We are looking for a Sr. Designer to join our team and turning our licenses into wearable fashion. This role is hands-on and will help keep the stars aligned for the design and product team. In this role, you'll lead the Design team and oversee the end-to-end design and development process of seasonal collections. The role involves managing the creation of design concepts, technical details, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.

This role operates on a hybrid schedule from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA 3 days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Manages Design team and creates sketches and design details for product development team, preparing collections with detailed technical information, maintain design records and ensure line sheets are up to date and communicate with overseas and local vendors/merchants
    • Develop & Present trend / mood boards and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve alignment on projects
    • Research & Shop market for trend and inspiration, identifying new trends in fabric, trim, fit, and hardware pieces and other raw materials
    • Work closely with Buying and Technical Design team throughout the development process to ensure the highest level of quality and integrity
    • Follow the product through its full development process - reviewing and approving design, lab dips, trim, fabric details, participating in fittings and providing fit comments to ensure proper fit and brand integrity
    • Participate in the conceptual development of product lines, providing recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, and new concepts
    • Create style boards for area of responsibility, showing silhouette and color, fabric, print/pattern options

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • 5+ Years of design experience, preferably in a corporate/team environment
    • Licensing experience in apparel
    • Technical knowledge of fabric construction, finishes, sewing techniques, graphics and trim
    • An obsession with Pop Culture & Licensing
    • Communication skills - both written & verbal and you're a major team player
    • Strong computer skills including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
