Within the four walls of all of our stores is where the magic is made! We are looking for someone to help support the needs of Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Torrid stores on the repair and maintenance front. In this role you will coordinate repair and maintenance (R&M) projects and manage related budgets.  Ensures escalated store issues, projects and landlord items are completed in a timely manner. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Leads R&M projects by obtaining competitive bids, determining schedules, communicating with stores and ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
    • Coordinates and monitors budgets for complex R&M projects according to proposal approval limit; provides project report in Expense vs. CAPEX format, similar to special projects in construction.
    • Approves quoted work according to the approval limits.
    • Creates operational reports to monitor vendors/team performance and ensures service level agreement is met.
    • Coordinates landlord responsibility items (leaks, chilled water and mall air) and follows through until completion to stores satisfaction; partners with construction to correct warranty issues when they arise.
    • Assists in resolving ongoing issues, which have not reached closure in reasonable time (as communicated to stores). Escalates unresolved issues to management.
    • Responds to store inquires and requests within 24 hours to meet service level agreement; answers off-hour calls as needed.
    • Coordinates and facilitates the work of team members. Delegates tasks and sets goals and deadlines. Monitors team performance and reports on metrics. Discover training needs and provides coaching. Listens to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts. Suggest and organize team building activities.
    • Performs other job duties as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Minimum 2 years experience with maintenance or construction with emphasis on HVAC systems, roof leaks, fixture repair and electrical systems.
    • Experience coordinating national & regional vendors who specialize in mall based ret_ail repair & maintenance projects
    • Similar experience with a mall based retailer, coordinating projects in excess of $150,000 a year.
    • Beginner to intermediate computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to coordinate high volume of projects with continual flow of new projects as they arise.
    • Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly.
    • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator.

    •  Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
    •  Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds.  May lift/move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
    • Regular travel is not expected though travel for some project rollouts may be needed
$23 - $30 an hour
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training, and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.
