Market Development Lead

At Human API, we are at the cutting edge of enabling liquidity in health data. As the Market Development lead, you are part product marketer, part consultant, part general manager, and all entrepreneur: your primary goal is to determine and validate where and how Human API can use data liquidity to solve problems and create value, and ensure successful business lines. Internally, you will develop positioning and messaging, and externally, you will interface with clients to discover specific workflows and solutions. In new verticals, you will help iterate on pilot designs and work with Sales, Customer Success, and Product in starting new lines of business.

What You'll Do - Role & Responsibilities

    • Develop new product configurations and validate use cases with customers
    • Perform market research and synthesis
    • Create sales enablement materials, marketing positions, and pricing schemes
    • Ensure Product teams have the right market intelligence
    • Quarterback pilots for nascent verticals, iterate, and develop hand-off to Customer Success and Sales

Who You Are - Required Skills

    • Five-to-eight years of management consulting, business-line ownership, product marketing, or similar experience
    • Clear communication style and excellent presentation skills
    • Vertical knowledge of health insurance, life insurance, clinical recruitment, pharma, or health tech a plus
    • A strong entrepreneurial spirit and capacity to dig deeply and patiently into complex customer workflows
    • A large tolerance for uncertainty and willingness to wear many hats
