About The Role

Humane Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team. The role will be leading the new product introductions for all upcoming Humane product launch. Liaise with our oversea FATP (Contract Manufacturing) partners for timely new launches, line set-up and ramp to volume. You will help the team in addressing key challenges and schedules during launch. The candidate will be a natural leader and facilitator; driven, organized and detail oriented; excel in following program timelines; influential and manages through relationships.

Ownership Areas

    • Manage production line bring up with our FATP partner including line set up, jigs and fixtures design and qualification, test equipment needs and readiness for production ramp plan 
    • Provide leadership in subject matter expertise on manufacturability in new product development and support to solve manufacturing process or quality issues as they arise
    • Experiences in providing guidance and performing reliability test is a plus
    • Able to verify design functionality and validate performance prediction
    • Participate in early stage of DFM review and design, work closely with Designers, PE, Suppliers on DOE and feasibility study during prototype phase
    • Be a main focal point in communication between US PD/Design team and FATP partner in addressing manufacturing issues
    • Drive FATP partner for process improvement to achieve target yield, capacity and efficiency
    • Ensure on time delivery and support phase builds from prototype to EVT, DVT, PVT and MP ramp
    • Approval of FAI inspection, CPK, SOP and set Quality standard and requirement for Golden sample to ensure alignment of acceptance quality criteria and standards between partners (FATP, Components Partners and Humane)
    • Monitor partners quality and foster continuous improvement activities during MP
    • Empower to reject product and hold shipments from FATP partners if quality does not meet and highlight to PD and Supply Chain team

Essential Qualifications

    • BS in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
    • 8+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
    • Experience in line set up, test equipment, fixtures design and fabrication in high volume consumer products
    • Knowledge of Manufacturing Monitoring Systems (MES, SPC, etc) and how to apply manufacturing statistics, CPK, PFMEA and DOE
    • Experience applying Lean principles to drive improved cycles time and throughput
    • Proven leadership experience in an operations/production facility. Able to communicate effectively with US teams and Asia suppliers
    • Strong problem-solving skills, issue-resolution and ability to multitask
    • Responsive and adapts quickly to changes in rapid growing environment
    • Willingness to travel internationally and locally in support of qualification and ramp
    • Self-motivated with a high level of energy and desire to succeed
    • Great at problem solving and eagerness in accepting challenge to build complex products
