Role Overview 
Vision: With a proven track record of exceeding targets, you shape our growth strategy,  process and execution plan. You identify strategically valuable opportunities in the marketplace, sectors, organizations and individuals who would benefit from our services and align with our business vision. You regularly share our point of view in 1:1 conversations, 1:few presentations, and 1:many communication platforms.

Management: You orchestrate the various individuals and teams that contribute directly to business growth. You lead the internal business development team, outside sales partners, marketing, communications and PR leads, and client engagement / account strategy efforts (in tandem with Partners) to create quantifiable growth.

Growth: You act as an ambassador for the HUSH brand by sharing expertise in the marketplace in verbal, visual and written form and will create, cultivate and disseminate company-wide subject matter expertise in the service of driving business growth. You create growth with both autonomous efforts and the management of team members in-house and out of house. You foster relationships with executive decision makers who need our services and/or partnership, converting these relationships into active projects. You help existing clients understand and engage in additional services. 

Key Responsibilities
This role requires wrapping your arms around all four sources of growth for our firm - outbound, inbound, organic and referral. We have years of performance data around these four sources and there is an existing org/process of contributors in- and out-of-house aligned to each source. Initially, however, you’ll be focusing on outbound and inbound growth while you review and assess organic and referral methods to date.

Strategic
- Understand, uphold and drive toward achieving the company’s mission via stated financial, strategic and creative goals
- Know the marketplace, audience types, outreach strategies
- Consult and mentor sales, account, and marcomm teams to refine their efforts
- Collaborate with Partners and other leadership to help grow existing client relationships during projects, and throughout their lifespan

Business Development
- Develop net new relationships with key organizational decision-makers
- Drive the business development process from initial lead to proposal / presentation stage (in collaboration with key leadership)
- Lead client conversations / presentations by setting the tone of our brand, controlling meeting flow, defining roles and responsibilities and teamwork
- Understand and anticipate client procurement processes and/or requirements
- Cultivate lateral partnerships, joint ventures and/or collaborations for growth

Marketing & Comms
- Create strategic foundations for marketing and communications efforts
- Manage in-house and outside marcomm team members
- Ensure active collaboration between BD, marcomm and leadership teams
- Create, curate and disseminate subject matter expertise in the public realm

Process & Metrics
- Build deal pipeline and manage departmental budget in line with financial forecasting
- Track and monitor ongoing leads in an organized, shareable fashion via our CRM
- Collaborate with Partners and leadership team to evolve growth strategy
- Regularly evaluate strategies, processes and results for continual improvement

Evaluation

    • Semi-annual employee reviews to track progress across core responsibilities, professional and personal goals.
    • Monthly evaluation of growth metrics against business and personal KPIs/goals

Requirements

    • 15+ years in Strategy/Sales/Growth for a creative services (or related) company 
    • Ideal candidate also has marketing/strategy and/or consulting background 
    • Deep experience motivating people and influencing cross-functional teams
    • A proven track record of leading people to achieve strong financial performance and profitability through developing new business opportunities.
    • Analytical skills and ability to devise business strategies backed by quantitative data
    • Strong, secure and confident communication and presentation skills
    • Professional, tenacious and outgoing demeanor
    • Ability to ask probing questions and brainstorm strategic ideas on the fly 
    • Outstanding organizational skills with proven ability to multitask, manage multiple projects/deals, follow-up and execute
    • An established network of contacts in senior positions at premier client organization
    • A sincere interest/background in the arts, architecture, design, technology, etc.
    • A B.S or B.A. degree; MBA a strong plus
