Responsibilities:

    • Sales Management & Strategy: Set and achieve seasonal/annual wholesale targets for Shanghai and Paris fashion week showrooms, leading the full-scope sales process from initial pitch to payment collection and delivery coordination.
    • Showroom & Event Leadership: Play a central managerial role during seasonal fashion week showrooms, overseeing on-site team performance, daily operations, sales appointments, and buyer hosting.
    • Client & Partner Relations: Manage day-to-day operations with existing accounts to develop and maintain strong retail partnerships.
    • Market Analysis & Reporting: Analyse sell-through and sales performance to produce seasonal market reports, providing actionable insights and clear sales analysis for partner brands.
    • Business Development: Identify and convert new retail partners and brand collaborations to expand the market pipeline.
    • Brand Recruitment: Recruit promising new brands by building and presenting compelling proposals and decks.
    • Team Development: Train, support, and guide local sales teams and representatives to align with the global distribution strategy.
    • Strategic Liaison: Act as a senior commercial voice for retail partners, translating key showroom insights into actionable market strategy.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams (e.g. e-commerce, editorial, finance) to align the wholesale strategy with broader brand goals.

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry, including 2–3 years in wholesale/distribution in China.
    • Deep understanding of the China retail and fashion landscape, including regional nuances and buying behavior.
    • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Business English.
    • Skills to plan and execute showroom operations twice a year during Shanghai Fashion Week.
    • Network to invite the Chinese retailers to Shanghai showrooms.
    • Confident and professional presence with experience in international showrooms or Fashion Week events.
    • Skilled in Excel (sales tracking) and PowerPoint/Keynote (sales presentations).
    • Knowledge of the WeChat and redbook ecosystem and China e-commerce/social commerce platforms.
    • Digitally fluent and culturally aligned with fashion, youth, and lifestyle trends.
    • Proven leadership and communication skills to manage accounts, agencies, and showroom teams.
    • Able to travel internationally, including to Paris for showroom setup and execution during Fashion Week.
