HYPEBEAST was launched in 2005 as a one-stop news source for internet-savvy fashion enthusiasts, continuing to inform and inspire trendsetters around the world. The growth of HYPEBEAST has seen its focus transcend from its initial roots to encompass all forms of fashion, arts, design and culture.
 
HYPEBEAST is looking for a highly knowledgeable and capable Copywriter with impeccable writing skills and the ability to create compelling text that draws readers in. He/ She will be responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for articles.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee the publishing of daily content and news
    • Ensure all articles are edited for correct spelling and grammar in a timely manner
    • Coordinate with brands and personalities for content (i.e. reaching out, overseeing the creation of interview questions and conducting interviews)
    • Research, introduce and execute editorial concepts
    • Plan and manage an editorial calendar
    • Create longer form editorial pieces
    • Coordinate projects with the Brand Partnership team
    • Ensure editorial and art direction is on-brand
    • Ensure editorials are delivered in a timely fashion
    • Handle intra-departmental organization for editorial team
    • Conduct market research and trend analysis to strategize growth
    • Communicate regularly with the Managing Editor

Requirements

    • Fluent English while possessing excellent oral communication skills
    • Knowledge of HYPEBEAST content at a local and international level
    • 3-5 years’ of copywriting and editorial experience
    • University graduate in Journalism, Communication or related disciplines preferred
    • Must be familiar with social media tools (Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+)
    • Must have experience with SEO practices and have an understanding of how to optimize articles for search engines
    • Creative, independent, detail-oriented
    • A team-player able to work independently and multi-task under tight schedules and deadlines
    • Ideally based in New York
    • Immediate availability preferred
