Hypebeast is looking for a Business Development Manager to build out and lead the HYPEGOLF Korea business. 

This role will be dual reporting to HYPEBEAST Korea Managing Director and our global HYPEGOLF lead. This Business Development Manager will build and run a local HYPEGOLF team, design and set goals for this team and ensure the team collaborates with cross- functional stakeholders to align with the global HYPEGOLF business and brand strategy. This leader should have strong business development and leadership skills, as well as a strong and keen understanding of the golf space and culture.

Responsibilities:

    • Drive HYPEGOLF Korea business success through identifying market opportunities and developing multi revenue streams, products and marketing activities in the golf space.
    • Closely monitor the golf market trend and competitor information of the golf category and make suggestions on experiential programs, content strategy and other possible revenue avenues.
    • Create business and product roadmaps with forecasted P&L, identifying resources to develop and grow the HYPEGOLF Korea business.
    • Set, track and achieve the business KPIs, help generate revenue targets and manage budget and expenses.
    • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
    • Outreach and identify potential partnership opportunities for the HYPEGOLF business.
    • Consistently analyze and adapt internal processes for a sales pitch, from managing, delivering and closing the sales deal.
    • Closely monitor market trends and competitor information of HYPEGOLF’s relevant categories and develop experiential programs, marketing activities, and projects of possible revenue avenues.
    • Build out the team structure required to develop the business, including recruiting and managing the team.
    • Work closely with the cross-functional teams including editorial, creative, retail and marketing team on planning and implementation of all HYPEGOLF-related business initiatives and special projects.
    • Manage internal coordination and communication and drive the execution team to deliver the outputs according to the plan.
    • Align with global HQ policies and procedures and identify ways to help improve HYPEGOLF Korea on a local level.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in business and marketing related disciplines preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience as a management with evidenced track record of achievements at preferably global golf brands. 
    • Strong passion and curiosity for the golf industry and local golf culture.
    • Excellent knowledge of the golf space and market trends.
    • Excellent business leadership skills and operational management with the ability to close business deals. 
    • Strong skills in driving business results backed by strategic thinking and planning.
    • Strong people management and development skills.
    • Strong prioritization and multitasking skillets in a fast moving environment.
