Hypebeast is growing and we're looking for a Development Producer to launch our new HYPESTUDIOS unit. HYPESTUDIOS is HYPEBEAST’s NEW long-form production team that will develop, produce, and partner to create innovative series in both the scripted and unscripted spaces. In this role the Development Producer will report and work closely under the Director of Development, and together they will work with senior brand creatives to build a robust premium development slate of series concepts. With the goal of securing commissions with broadcasters, external production companies, OTT platforms, and other media partners.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience and a passion for hands-on development and production work. From ideation and paper development (creating treatments, outlines, and pitch decks), to producing and editing sizzle reels. This individual should be highly creative and bring with them a set of production and editorial skills that will allow them to work both independently and as part of a larger, collaborative team in the development of new series concepts.

Responsibilities:

    • Identify trending formats, creators, IP material, and talent for series development
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
    • Create and develop new concepts for long form series in the scripted and unscripted space
    • Write one-sheets, treatments, and build pitch decks (graphic design skills a major plus)
    • Help to oversee physical production on sizzle reels and pilots
    • Help to string-out and edit sizzle and casting reels
    • Participate in organizing, tracking, and giving notes on development slate

Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of content development experience at a production company, network, streamer, agency, or similar organization
    • Experience and ability to identify / source brand and partner appropriate submissions, content, IP, and talent 
    • Strong creative instincts with a proficiency in writing / designing pitch decks and treatments
    • Some expertise in video and audio editing, including being able to string-out casting interviews or similar development material needs
    • Solid understanding of the premium content landscape, its major players, and basic development-to-greenlight workflow process
    • An excited team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
