As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for directing and leading all business development and sales related activities in Taiwan. This includes setting the business roadmap, developing sales strategy to capture large scale projects and long term maintenance agreements, leading a team responsible for providing business partners with the best-in-class marketing solutions as well as driving profitable growth. This position requires establishing continued contacts with new prospects, coordinating contacts between staff and proposed clients, and serving as the principal client contact when necessary. They will report to and receive functional direction from the Vice President of Brand Partnerships, APAC.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead TW sales team to achieve annual business target through offering 360° and bespoke creative and marketing solutions to clients
    • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the team
    • Provide leadership and management to direct reports (Sales and Client servicing team), being accountable for their performance and providing them with professional development opportunities.
    • Manage solid client relationships at executive level of substantial international and domestic accounts 
    • Identify opportunities and partnerships to accelerate growth of our brands/IPs and business in Taiwan.
    • Serve as a new business resource and actively pursue new revenue sources and provide leadership in strategic development of new business.
    • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities to HQ in order to create product line up which would maximize business opportunities in the region.
    • Deep understanding of youth marketing/culture and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function (advertising and marketing)
    • Increase awareness of HYPEBEAST and HYPEMAKER brand internally and externally through partners, press, media, client community, intermediaries. 
    • Be on top of relevant market trends, client needs, expectations and opportunities as well as shifts in the competitive landscape. 

Requirements:

    • Degree holder in marketing, business or related fields with high proficiency in spoken and written business level English is required.
    • 10 years of professional experience in the advertising/media industry, requires 2+ years of managerial experience. 
    • A problem solver who understands the intricacies of today’s media/advertising and the market gaps.
    • Flawless presentation skills and the ability to lead strategic conversations that navigate the needs of HYPEBEAST and the client.
    • The ideal candidate would have very strong track record in sales achievements against quantitative targets selling to direct or agency business.
    • Strong contract base among agencies and network of direct clients.
    • Familiar with fashion or youth culture.
    • Excellent knowledge of the digital advertising sector.
    • Experience in high volumes of face-to-face meetings per week and able to communicate with C level executive.
    • A strong team player with positive attitude and mindset.
    • Ability to translate analytics into insights and recommendations.
