The Video Programming Partnerships Manager will be the key liaison between HYPEBEAST’s editorial video team and external programming partners.  Daily, they’ll work in conjunction with the editorial video team towards the goal of growing syndicated and external content partnerships.  Utilizing HYPEBEAST’s existing original content, they’ll present new and exciting opportunities to external platforms and partners.   This person will maintain constant contact with syndicators such as Yahoo, Twitch, Caffeine, Spotify and many others to secure syndicated partnerships.   Working closely with the Director of Video to determine how to best modify HYPEBEAST’s original video content, the Video Programming Partnerships Manager will own HYPEBEAST’s external programming strategy.  The ideal candidate will be a great communicator and have extensive knowledge of video production procedures from development through delivery.  They’ll have a firm grasp of the HYPEBEAST video content library and the needs and mandates of other external platforms.  They’ll also be an expert at programming strategy for both social platforms and media partners. This role does not require creation of new content for brands, it is focused on HYPEBEAST’s existing content and ways to leverage and modify it.

Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with the Director of Video on best methodology to position HYPEBEAST short and midform video content
    • Strategize best and most viable video content to take to external partners 
    • Secure syndicated deals and/or production deals for HYPEBEAST’s short and mid-form content
    • Understand and communicate best practices to showcase content to external partners and work with the video production team to implement those practices
    • Critically analyze existing content
    • Create compelling pitch materials aimed at syndicated partners

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in content or programming partnerships
    • Working relationships with external partners and a large rolodex
    • Possesses good working knowledge of HYPEBEAST’s franchises and video library
    • Vast understanding of the intricacies of the creative process and ways to leverage that creative into viable sales opportunities
    • Background in syndicated sales and/or production sales
    • Excellent working knowledge of the video production industry
    • Career experience (either production, syndication or sales) in short form or social media content
    • Significant ability to position HYPEBEAST’s content on appropriate external platforms
    • Must be based in Los Angeles or New York metropolitan areas
