The Role

iDeals reached 450+ employees across 25+ locations, and keeps expanding globally. To support this exciting growth journey, we are seeking a Junior Compensation Accountant in Ukraine to ensure high-quality handling of local payroll and employee compensation. This role will also involve resolving requests from employees and queries from outsourced payroll providers.

As a Junior Compensation Accountant, you will enhance processes and oversee external outsourcers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Finance, Tax, Legal, and People Operations, reporting to the Payroll Operational Manager. What You Will Do

    • Collect, verify, and input HR & payroll data into payroll software
    • Calculate salary, taxes, and related contributions
    • Check calculations, identify, and correct errors
    • Prepare and submit month closing files and documentation: GL-files, monthly payroll sheets, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with the established calculation methodology and procedures
    • Provide clarifications on taxation of benefits in kind and wage-types to clients
    • Prepare bank files and payment orders for salary and related taxes and social contributions
    • Control the maintenance of the internal documents storage system
    • Offer payroll consultations for clients regarding payroll issues
    • Cooperate with and supervise external providers on payroll issues

What We Look For

    • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position
    • English language proficiency at the Upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher
    • Excellent knowledge of existing labor laws and accounting rules
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Our Interview Process

We believe in competency-based interviews combined with work samples and we share clear expectations for each element. Our interview assignments simulate what it's like to work at iDeals and the type of tasks you'll tackle. Here are the stages of the interview process for this role:

• Intro with the Talent Acquisition Specialist (40 mins)
• Test task (~2 hours)
• Competency-based interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist (90 mins)
• Hiring Manager interview (60 mins)
