The NRS technology division is a small, high-powered development group with teams situated in the US and Israel that produces interactive, high-performance web applications that are both good looking and easy to use. We use the same technology stack for apps deployed on the Linux-based point of sale systems as we do for web apps deployed in the cloud.
We currently have several openings for our development team. This opportunity is for full stack development on our different mobile and web applications.
We look for self-starters, who work independently or part of a small team when needed while developing software for our merchants, their customers, and NRS internal operations. We expect our teammates to contribute to overall architectural and design discussions. You will generally be responsible for the complete life cycle of back end features including design, implementation and deployment.
About You:
- Ability to create web services (APIs), preferably using PHP, Slim routing, PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with various AWS services and their management/operations including Kinesis, SQS and Lambda functions
- Comfortable using curl, and S3 tools for inter-system data exchange
- Ability to create shell scripts, including those that will import and export data, when needed
- Understands responsive web design and asynchronous data requests from back end APIs
- Ability to design and implement web applications using the following technology:
- SQL, Node.js, AngularJS (1.4, 5+), Javascript, Typescript, Bootstrap, Material Design, HTML, CSS
- Minimum of 5 years of programming experience
- Degree in Computer Science
We Prefer to See:
- Experience with development using React, Redux, or React Native
- Teammates who can create scalable, fault-tolerant web architectures in AWS
- Experience with using a distributed source code control system such as Git (preferred)
- Feel at home with Linux, including light system administration
