1st Assistant Production Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, team player for our First Assistant Production Accountant on our Production Finance and Marketing Finance team. This position will help manage accounting for our animated feature film slate. The responsibilities include working closely with department heads, Illumination Mac Guff in France, and Universal. This person will play an important role in tracking costs correctly, allocating them to the right projects, and funding them in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

    • Processing Union, Non-Union, and ATL Payroll
    • Weekly Accounts Payable
    • Chart of Accounts management
    • Cash flow forecasting, funding requests and funding reconciliations
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Journal Entries
    • Establish and maintain complete files for all projects
    • Cost reporting Support
    • Residual/Guild Reporting
    • Production Audit support
    • Union/Guild Audit support

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required
    • 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in production accounting/ finance
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
    • Knowledge with entertainment industry software SMART Accounting is required
    • IATSE Local 839 and Local 700 Experience is a plus
    • Experience processing payroll through Entertainment Partners or similar is preferred but not required
    • Organization skills
