We are seeking a Software Engineer to build systems, features, and tools for our proprietary mixed reality engine.  This role will also serve as a bridge between Art and Engineering departments.  You will be an important part of bringing our AR experiences to millions by building stable and performant additions that elevate our technology, platform, and art assets.  You will combine an expertise of technical knowledge in programming along with strong visual aesthetics and creativity. Your passion for developing the processes, tools and pipelines will allow you to push the boundaries of what is possible in augmented reality.

    • Collaborate closely with artists, designers and engineers to support features, content creation, and tool technical designs
    • Implement features and tools for our proprietary AR-focused engine
    • Profile, implement, and use tools to ensure stability, performance, and optimization on mobile and web platforms with a focus on AR experiences
    • Write/create highly optimized shaders to help achieve visual quality for a wide range of projects
    • Support the art team by developing tools, prototypes, scripts, and processes to automate/streamline asset creation, manage content, improve general workflow and ensure creative concepts are realized


    • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Artist in mixed reality technology or games industry
    • Fluency in languages such as C#, Python, C++, Bash and Shell scripting to build robust automation pipelines
    • Thorough knowledge of Maya or equivalent 3D programs, Substance Painter, Unity3D, Babylon/Three.js/WebGL 
    • Experience in high caliber shader/VFX creation, systems, and implementation
    • Hands on familiarity with at least one of the following: AR, Asset Pipelines, Tools, UI, 3D Animation, 3D Math, Graphics, Physics, Audio


    • A degree in computer science, or a related field
    • Familiarity with instrumenting, profiling, and optimizing performance issues
    • High level of comfort and familiarity with GIT and SVN
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling, character rigging, and rendering pipelines
