Summary
We’re looking for a highly capable and adaptable Operations Generalist to manage and deliver complex projects that strengthen operational foundations and support our ability to scale. This role is perfect for a strong project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and loves driving clarity, execution, and impact across diverse areas of the business. You’ll work across every function—Ops, Talent, Engineering, Finance, and more—leading cross-functional initiatives that close process gaps, reduce operational friction, and build the scalable infrastructure Imbue needs to grow. You’ll play a vital role in making the day-to-day feel easier and more intentional for our team. From driving SOC 2 compliance to ensuring financial soundness across decisions, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our operations smooth today while designing for the needs of tomorrow.
Example Projects
• Lead the SOC 2 compliance program—partnering with external auditors, internal teams, and leadership to meet all requirements, maintain readiness, and ensure security best practices are embedded in our workflows.
• Own and improve operational processes and systems—whether it's onboarding, events, tooling, or vendor management. Evaluate tradeoffs, costs, and downstream impacts of internal systems (e.g. SSO rollout, HRIS platform, or Meeting Tools), turn ad-hoc workflows into scalable solutions, and ensure the company can grow quickly without breaking operational flow.
• Strengthen financial clarity and operational discipline—build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning. Create and monitor budgets, track recurring spend, and bring visibility to cost drivers. Negotiate vendor contracts and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising team agility or autonomy.
• Create operational clarity and communication systems—build scalable playbooks, project management templates, and lightweight communication mechanisms (dashboards, async updates, structured docs, and company-wide meetings) that bring structure to recurring workflows, define ownership, and keep the company aligned without unnecessary noise or bottlenecks.
You Are
• Highly organized project manager—able to plan, track, and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives on time. You have excellent attention to detail, keep multiple priorities moving in parallel, and adapt quickly when plans change.
• A hands-on builder who’s excited to create structure from scratch and make processes better every time you touch them.
• Systems-minded—you see how workflows, tools, and people connect, and you naturally look for ways to improve and streamline. Proficient with excel sheets and formulas, and lead with data-driven decision making.
• A strong communicator, able to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams alike.
• Energized by solving the hidden friction points that slow teams down—and by making those fixes stick.
