We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie
This position will be responsible in the preparation of all foods as indicated in the menu
plan, recipes, and methods for his/her areas. He is responsible to take care of all orders from
his/her immediate supervisor on duty, pertaining to specific assignments that may arise without
notice, due to special functions, itinerary or other unforeseen changes.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all foods are prepared fresh and is of the highest standard for taste and food safety
- Strictly follows all recipes, methods, and instructions from his supervisor
- Maintain menus and food quality to standards
- Be responsible to control food cost in the restaurant.
- Control food waste
- Check on all equipment in your areas that must be fixed and report to the Chef
- Prepare food for service (shopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow chef’s instructions
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Requirements
- Ability to work morning and evening shifts
- Years of experience
- Positive attitude
- Teamwork mentality.
