Did you know it takes a congressional office, on average, 45 - 60 days to respond to the most basic constituent request? In case you're wondering, we checked! We view this as a fundamental breakdown in the UX of representative democracy and we're building a platform to fix it.

Indigov is a constituent relationship management suite for modern representatives. Our platform reduces response times from weeks to minutes for 90% of inbound communication. We are expanding rapidly and need additional team members to join us in our pursuit to build the future of representative democracy across federal, state, and local governments.

What you'll do 
Recruitment Needs:
• Building our pipeline of talented, mission-driven, diverse individuals to help drive team growth
• Screening sourced candidates and organic applicants for skill, alignment to our mission, culture add, etc.; passing only the best prospects to hiring managers
• Managing the interview process end-to-end (Coordinating meetings, communication with prospects, communication with hiring team, etc.)
• Standardizing company-wide interview and offer-stage protocols (Interview cadence, live and take-home assessment guidelines, offer delivery, negotiation, etc.)
• Managing internal and external recruiting resources

Onboarding and Offboarding Needs:
• Creating an employee journey map from the day of first contact to the employee’s last day at Indigov
• Managing employee onboarding
• Coordinating with department leads to ensure new hires understand the role and function of all teams at Indigov
• Setting up introductory meetings for new hires and adding them to recurring company meetings
• Ensuring new hires are set up with all necessary hardware, software and resources
• Conducting 30 and 60-day check-ins with new hires to gather feedback on their onboarding process in order to improve it
• Managing employee offboarding
• Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
• Conducting exit interviews
• Managing outgoing transition of benefits, proprietary materials, and hardware

Daily HR Needs:
• Helping Indigov cultivate a great reputation as an employer by supporting and engaging employees
• Advising on the design and implementation of organizational structures
• Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices for a remote team
• Feedback gathering and conflict mediation
• Managing internal HR systems
• Treating employees as internal customers and measurably increasing their satisfaction with the goal of talent retention
• Designing and delivering employee benefits and helping employees understand those benefits
• Working with the leadership team to establish and document company policies, educating employees on those policies, and administering ongoing training
• Developing and administering programs that foster employee talent and growth 
• Working with leadership to standardize performance management protocols and aiding in implementation of performance plans
• Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
• Keeping track of and analyzing HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates, time-to-hire)Delivering on HR-related KPIs as defined by the executive team
• Wear a company t-shirt, at least sometimes

Culture & Special Project Needs: 
• Being responsible for driving towards and reporting on key DE&I goals, initiatives and KPI’s
• Managing company social events (lunches, get togethers, annual events, etc.)
• Creating and implementing goal-based initiatives that align to key business goals
• Maintaining a calendar of key dates, employee start dates, birthdays, milestones etc. in order to celebrate employees

About you
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience working in a rapidly-growing, fast-paced environment
• Hold a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience with proof of HR-related qualifications and experience in best practices
• Experience in leading a People Operations or Human Resources team
• Proven success in managing People Operations for a physically distributed team
• Expertise related to diversity in the workplace including industry trends, best practices, and applicable regulations.
