About This Position:
As a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst at INflow Federal, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing national defense strategy by supporting a strategic joint force division. Your work will directly inform senior decision-makers through the production of strategic assessments and realistic threat portrayals that shape future force development and capability investments.
In this role, you will blend operational insight with intelligence expertise to drive rigorous analysis of adversary capabilities, contribute to modeling and simulation efforts, and support biannual Capability Net Assessments (CNAs). Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Capability Net Assessment (CNA) production to evaluate contributions to OPLANs.
- Assess CNA topics through the lenses of Warfighting Utility, Affordability and Feasibility.
- Conduct classified and unclassified research to inform CNA recommendations and investment guidance.
- Develop realistic courses of action using operational and intelligence experience.
- Support modeling and simulation teams with data, scenario development, and testing efforts.
- Respond to and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) from internal and external organizations.
- Maintain awareness and dissemination of relevant classified and open-source intelligence.
- Contribute to CNA topic selection and study design. This includes the need to write, review, and coordinate analytical products and reports for CNA and other studies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the Joint Staff and Intelligence Community.
- Maintain and update secure for document and knowledge management.
- Serve as a continuity point of contact across the Strategy Branch and Modeling & Simulation teams.
- Report on emerging threats and capabilities with emphasis on their real-world employment implications.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, National Security, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, military operations, or strategic assessments.
- Extensive experience supporting intelligence efforts for Indo-Pacific threats.
- Prior military experience strongly preferred. Additional DoD and/or IC experience in operations, planning, or intelligence (J2, J3, or J5 background helpful).
- Prior experience supporting J8, Joint Staff, or a Combatant Command.
- Experience with Joint Planning Process, OPLAN development, or force structure analysis.
- Proficiency in all-source intelligence analysis (with emphasis on threat systems and adversary capabilities).
- Demonstrated ability to develop realistic adversary COAs for modeling and simulation.
- Familiarity with Capability Net Assessments (CNA) or related strategic studies.
- Ability to assess systems and strategies using metrics of utility, affordability, and feasibility.
- Understanding of modeling and simulation frameworks (even if not a direct developer).
- Competency with classified and unclassified research tools (e.g., SIPR, JWICS, I-Space, INTELINK).
- Experience managing RFIs and knowledge management systems.
- Strong writing and briefing skills for senior decision-makers.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across Joint Staff, Services, and IC.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially for long-lead studies and classified environments.
- Self-starter capable of managing both routine tasks and strategic-level projects.
- Knowledge of DoD PPBE process and capability development life cycle.
- Experience with warfighting concept development or operational test/evaluation.
- Familiarity with Coalition/partner military capabilities and interoperability considerations.
