ABOUT THIS POSITION:

Designs and defines the DevSecOps architecture for new or existing IT systems. Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing. Manages and documents system configurations.  Assists with deployment of new product features.  
 
Job Duties:
·      Provide systems engineering and integration support to the Government for the integration of newly developed capabilities targeted for the Test, Staging, and Operational environments.
·      Develop and deliver the processes to perform integration, staging, and release management for these capabilities.
·      Provide methods to automatically deploy existing or newly identified services, COTS and GOTS products, custom code, and software developed by the Government to provide an overall solution that meets program and product owner objectives.
·      Implements and maintains new and existing monitoring techniques of IT system activity and translates that data into actional information. Promotes data driven decision making.
 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Skills:
·      Thorough understanding of the following interfaces and formats: standard web services protocols (e.g., SOAP, REST, and OGC). Demonstrated understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud services. Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques.
·      Experience in integrating software, COTS, GOTS, FOSS, and capabilities into a baseline and making them an operational whole.
·      Experience with proprietary and opensource applications and database services.
·      Thorough understanding of the following program languages, packages, and systems (at a minimum): Java, SQL, Python, BASH, CSS, DOS_BATCH, HTML, JavaScript, and PHP.
·      Thorough understanding of integrating systems as well as databases of varying architecture.
·      Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases.
·      Extensive experience with AWS and cloud services.
·      Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment.
 
Required Education & Clearance:
·      2+ years of experience
·      Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology.
·      Active TS/SCI  
 
Desired Skills:
·      Technical certification Network +, Security +, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud Computing.
·      Experience in System Engineering and project/program management.
·      Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products.
