About your role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Digital Therapy and Practice Management development teams as we continue to build out exciting changes to our digital health product and practitioner product. You'll be working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams to enrich these products to help our client's and practitioner network have the most seamless experience while using our platforms. You love leading people and championing growth, ownership, and accountability within your teams. You are an excellent coach, strong communicator, and have the technical depth to guide and advise the team and other stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
- Make informed architectural decisions / recommendations
- Participate in maintaining and updating the product roadmap
- Stakeholder meetings (address needs of coaches, reports needed, roadblocks, etc)
- Ensure team is adhering to best practices when it comes to TDD, CI/CD, Cloud Infrastructure
- Developing processes you see fit to help the team excel
- Identify areas of improvement within the codebase
- Substantial experience in leading teams who are developing REST APIs
- Guiding your team's personal career growth
What you'll need:
- Computer Science degree or relevant experience
- 5+ years leading agile teams, especially in startup-like environments building new things
- Advanced development knowledge using frameworks such as React and Ruby on Rails
- Excellent knowledge of security, privacy, and accessibility
- Knowledge of and enforcement of policies stated in plans such as Disaster Recovery Plan, Incident Response Plan
- Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Excellent understanding of both full stack development and software engineering
- Release management
- Familiar with OWASP
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS is a plus)
- Experience with common programming techniques such as TDD, SOLID, DRY, KISS. Containerization
