At ISA, the Data Analytics Group (DAG) operates with both internal and external focus to support the Consulting group and work across clients on projects involving large-scale data manipulation, advanced analytics and modeling, and interactive tool development. We approach this work with 3 core focus areas within DAG: Data Architecture, Data Science, and Translational Analytics. We are looking for successful analyst/senior analyst candidates to join our team with a focus on translational analytics to help expand capabilities and innovate new, creative solutions to answer the challenging business questions facing our clients in the life sciences industry.

Core Responsibilities Include:

    • Building and leveraging skills in data analysis across multiple tool sets
    • Becoming a subject matter expert for consulting project teams for data usage in the context of client engagements including: Identifying appropriate data sources, Determining the appropriateness and feasibility of an analysis, Helping define business rules for an analysis, Crafting an analytic plan and timeline, Translating analytics into business insights
    • Carrying out advanced analyses using large relational databases including market sizing and landscape overview, adherence metrics, and longitudinal patient flow modeling
    • Learning to work with typical pharmaceutical data sets such as prescription volume data, transnational adjudication claim data, formulary data
    • Packaging analytics into client-ready presentations and tools

Successful Analyst Candidates Will Have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience, work experience a plus
    • Advanced experience in at least one of the following areas: MS Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint), SQL, R, Tableau, pharmaceutical claims data
    • A passion for working in healthcare
    • Superior database and quantitative analytical skills
    • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task across several project work streams
    • An interest in learning skills for performing and presenting quantitative work
    • Authorization to work in the United States

Successful Senior Analyst candidates will also have:

    • An advanced Degree (Master’s or PhD) and/or a Bachelor’s with multiple years of relevant work experience
    • Advanced experience in at least two of the following areas: MS Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint), SQL, R, Tableau, medical or pharmaceutical claims data
    • Working with front-end tools in Excel and/or Tableau
    • Experience using data and analytics to answer business questions
    • Experience querying data using SQL, Python, JavaScript or PHP is a plus
    • Interacting and engaging directly with clients is a plus
