Insomnia Cookies is on a journey to become the most imaginative sweet indulgence brand in the world. As we grow our company and community of Insomniacs, we are actively interviewing Operations Workforce Planning candidates for our Summer 2024 Internship program!
 
Position overview:
This paid internship provides the unique opportunity to work directly with Insomnia’s Operations team and interface cross functionally with the Finance and Human Resource teams. The selected Workforce Planning Intern will be responsible for applying their skills, education, and knowledge base to help Insomnia Cookies effectively deploy labor resources throughout our fleet of bakeries. The person in this role will be given an opportunity to participate in all aspects of workforce planning, including forecasting sales and labor drivers like transactions and delivery volume. The intern will collaborate with other Support Center employees, the Company’s leadership team, and store personnel with the goal of optimizing labor to support the customer experience.

Position Goals & Accomplishments:

    • Gain on-brand experience and exposure working alongside Insomnia’s Operations team.
    • Develop professional communication, learning, and leadership skills.
    • Work effectively within a diverse team and fast-paced work culture, learning to find ways to best utilize our workforce of 4,000 Insomniacs.
    • Learn how to create value added reports and analysis to effectively tell a story through data.
    • Improve presentation awareness and skills.
    • Excel in group engagement activities and team experiences.
    • Develop career awareness and evaluations of future opportunities / job paths. 

Required Education & Experience:

    • Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a focus on Finance or other business-related fields.
    • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to mine data to find trends and insights.
    • Must be available to work up to 30-40 hours/week and to work in person at our PHL office 3 days each week.
    • Must possess an innate curiosity and desire to learn.
    • Must demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be comfortable with Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and remote meeting software (e.g. Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc.). 
    • A love for warm, delicious cookies is a plus!
$15 - $15 an hour
