Inspiration delivers EV procurement and financing, state-of-the-art charging infrastructure deployment, and fleet operations services, providing companies with a seamless, cost-effective transition to zero-emission electric transportation. Backed by three leading energy and infrastructure investors, we aim to dramatically accelerate fleet electrification in North America while building the leading investment platform focused on the EV transition.
Your Mission:   
As COO, you are our chief implementer and integrator – tasked primarily with managing the internal parts of our rapidly-growing business and ensuring they are operating as a cohesive whole. Your mission is to leverage your superb people management skills, hyper organization, and ability to inspire and hold myriad teams accountable to ensure we fully execute on our 2023 goals and beyond. In addition to scaling our operations, systems and processes to keep up with our rapid growth, you will also take the lead on designing and building the right organization to attack new business opportunities as we broaden our offerings and platform.  
You will own and manage the following corporate functions: Operations, People (talent and HR), Partner Success, Marketing & Communications, Sustainability/ESG, and Market Development. Depending on your skillset and experience, you may also manage some or all of Asset Management, Compliance, Legal, Investor Relations, and other areas yet to be determined.

    • Collaborated with the CEO in setting, driving and evolving organizational vision,operational design, growth strategy, and our hiring plan to achieve our goals 
    • Translated our strategy into actionable plans for growth, implementing and owning organization-wide goal setting and annual operations planning 
    • Established and/or improved company systems and processes to ensure maximum efficiency with clear ownership, performance management and accountability  
    • Oversaw company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive, mission-oriented culture that ensures team members can thrive and organizational outcomes are met 
    • Built and maintained trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, market participants, investors and other stakeholders 
    • Became a trusted partner to the CEO and a top respected leader of our organization given you are owning many key functions. You also stand in as the CEO’s proxy to lead the business and/or resolve issues when the CEO is traveling or in external meetings, and help free up the CEO’s time to focus externally on strategic transactions and new initiatives.

Who You Are:

    • You have 12+ years of experience in operational leadership in a high growth environment 
    • You have demonstrated - in multiple roles - the ability to manage, optimize, and grow a new business or practice  
    • You have experience in one or more of the following areas: clean energy, infrastructure, electric vehicles or charging, or investment/asset management 
    • You are most engaged when operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment,establishing and enforcing processes, and “bringing order to chaos” 
    • You have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a desire to be hands on in the creation and implementation of programs and processes 
    • Your excellent interpersonal and executive communication and presentation skills effectively influence key stakeholders 
    • You are energized about our mission of contributing to climate solutions by accelerating the electric vehicle transition.  You are inspired by and have a history of acting consistently with our core values (see below). 
    • BA required; MBA preferred
