At Instructure, we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed throughout their lives. Our goal is to amplify that power by creating intuitive products that simplify learning and personal development, facilitate meaningful relationships, and inspire people to go further in their education and careers. We do this by giving smart, creative, passionate people opportunities to create awesome.

And that's where you come in:

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Canvas Career team—a fast-moving group on a mission to redefine how people learn, grow, and connect to opportunity. We’re building an AI-first platform for continuing education, workforce learning, and career pathways. As a Product Manager on the Canvas Career team, you’ll shape how lifelong learners build skills and learning organizations deliver programs at scale.

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, sweats the details of success measures, and obsesses over customers and users. If you’re driven to deliver outcomes, not just outputs, and if innovation excites you as much as execution – we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

    • Contribute to the vision and strategy of Canvas Career, prioritizing the most impactful investments so that product outcomes drive measurable value for learners, learning organizations, and employers.
    • Own a portion of the Canvas Career roadmap from discovery to general availability, ensuring successful development, delivery and go to market.
    • Deeply understand our user’s, customer’s, and partner’s needs through interviews, data, and experimentation – and bring their voice into every decision.
    • Define success measures that matter, then track and report against them to ensure accountability and progress.
    • Collaborate relentlessly with other product managers, design, engineering and go-to-market teams to define strategy, align on priorities and solutions, and ship with speed.
    • Leverage AI-powered workflows to drive efficiency, reducing time-to-validation while delivering innovative solutions.

What you will need to know/have:

    • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally in edtech or adjacent industries where outcomes and trust matter.
    • Proven ability to define measurable success criteria – and hit them.
    • A bias to action, you move quickly from ideas to experiments, reduce time-to-learning, and aren’t afraid to make informed decisions with imperfect information.
    • Strong customer empathy and ability to translate insights into actionable product direction.
    • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience aligning diverse stakeholders and working within cross-functional teams. You view “we” as stronger than “me.”
    • Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to bring clarity, structure, and measurable outcomes to evolving product spaces.
    • An innovative spirit. You’re comfortable challenging the status quo and experimenting with new approaches.

What you will love about this role:

    • You’ll help define how millions of learners connect their education to career opportunities through intuitive, AI-first experiences.
    • You’ll join a tight-knit team who collaborate closely while each driving impactful areas of the roadmap.
    • You’ll be part of one of Instructure’s most innovative and strategic initiatives—at the intersection of education, career, and technology.
    • You’ll be part of a mission-driven company where your work directly supports better learning experiences and educational outcomes
