Education is moving at an accelerated pace to online and hybrid modes of learning. As the premier education learning software company we connect students and teachers with tools to help everyone learn together.

As the needs of students and teachers evolve and grow, so does the need for a platform that seamlessly connects the growing number of education software tools built by customers, other companies, and our own teams.

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join our Platform Product team. In this position, you’ll be leading multiple teams and helping to drive Product strategy and delivery across our platform services, helping to build more seamless, flexible, and scalable integrations between Instructure’s own products and 3rd party systems.

What you will be doing:

    • Working closely with Engineering and Product leadership to support the strategy and direction of the Instructure platform, considering business objectives, technical needs, and overall market conditions.

    • Build trusting relationships with executives, faculty, students and staff at institutions, schools, and learning organizations we serve. They collaborate with leaders and colleagues at all levels, in all functions around Instructure to ensure that customer confidence is well-placed in Instructure.
    • Tend to operational and logistics activities as needed. These include hiring and onboarding product managers, coordinating formal learning and development opportunities, taking care of expense reports, orchestrating appropriate support for teams when product managers take time off, and similar manager-leader responsibilities.

Here's what you will need to know/have:

    • Experience managing Product Managers, and demonstrated ability to grow successful, empowered product teams
    • Have demonstrated ability to bring new products or major initiatives to market
    • An outcomes mindset, backing all decisions with data.
    • Experience with product integrations, data platforms, Edu data models/schemas
    • Demonstrated ability to grow the careers of team members, including coaching/mentorship around best practices in Product Management, software development, Product lifecycle & GTM, and leadership
