Instructure is seeking an experienced and data-driven Sr.Manager, Email Marketing to lead our Email Marketing team by planning and executing email sends, prospect and customer nurture programs, autoresponder strategy, as well as user onboarding and enablement programs. This role requires creativity as well as an analytical mindset - focusing on the user experience while also being able to dive into the data to analyze reporting and performance data to measure KPIs and iterate for improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Manage, coach, and support the current Global Email Marketing team members to become world class email specialists.
- Work with Demand Generation to optimize and execute email sends as needed, to both prospects and customers.
- Partner with RevOps to understand and improve our audience segmentations in order to send very targeted emails.
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to plan and create nurture sequences for re-engagement, xsell, upsell, enablement, etc.
- Continue developing our communication strategies within the product as well as across channels to optimize for all stages in the customer journey.
- Optimize engagement and conversion rates through the development of an effective A/B and multivariate test program
- Drive changes in customer behavior to improve KPI performance, understand conversion levers and leverage them to achieve success throughout the conversion funnel.
- Build email testing roadmap and drive test execution to enable optimization of campaigns.
- Designing and coding responsive emails using HTML & CSS.
- Using Marketo, Salesforce, and Asana on a daily basis.
What you will need to know/have:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team.
- 3+ years of B2B email marketing experience working in Marketo within a SaaS company.
- General understanding of B2B lead-to-revenue demand funnels and reporting.
- Strong experience using Salesforce.
- Understanding of audience segmentation strategies—how to specify target audiences and how to effectively communicate with a vast array of contacts.
- Expert in email marketing best practices and email marketing compliance laws such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal; strong collaborator
- Strong execution capability with the highest standards in a rapidly evolving business
- Experience crafting successful responsive emails and multiple nurture email programs.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) is highly desired.
- Design skills using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
