The Opportunity: We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director of Product to lead the next era of innovation in credentials and learner mobility. In this critical role, you will shape and execute the product strategy across Parchment’s platform, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that connect and meet the evolving needs of our diverse stakeholders – including K-12 schools, higher education institutions, lifelong learners and employers. You will leverage your industry knowledge and expertise to play a critical role in shaping the future of credentialing, leveraging technology to create seamless and impactful experiences to support millions of learners worldwide in demonstrating their achievements. 


What you'll do:

    • Product Strategy & Vision:Define a compelling, forward-looking product strategy that accelerates Parchment’s role in a learner’s lifelong journey—from issuing microcredentials to supporting career-aligned goals. You’ll align this strategy with Instructure’s broader mission and growth into K-Career learning and opportunities. 
    • Roadmap Development: Own the end-to-end product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on market needs, customer feedback, competitive analysis, and business value.
    • Turn Complexity into ClarityTranslate customer, partner, and market input from across sectors — global K-12, higher education, business, and government — into clean product hypotheses and scalable solutions—especially in emerging areas like skills frameworks, digital wallets, and interoperable records.
    • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: serve as the connective tissue between R&D, go-to-market, and customer teams ensure seamless product development and successful market launch. 
    • Market & Customer Insight: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement to identify opportunities, understand pain points, and validate product hypotheses.
    • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation and discovery to development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
    • Performance & Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, monitor performance, and iterate on products to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Innovation & Growth: Identify and champion new product opportunities, driving innovation that expands Parchment's market reach and value proposition in areas like student mobility, licensure, and workforce solutions.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product strategy, roadmaps, and progress to executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners.

What you'll bring:

    • Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role (Director or Sr. Director level), preferably within the EdTech, or credentialing industry. Experience serving multiple audiences in K-12, higher education, and workforce and experience with credentials or transcripts is a plus. 
    • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive product strategies that drive significant business impact. 
    • Strategic Clarity & Execution: Ability to create a unified product vision from ambiguity, turn it into an actionable roadmap, galvanize a cross-functional team to build and execute at pace—backed by stakeholder trust and alignment.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated success in building, leading, and inspiring high-performing product teams. You mentor, empower, and retain top talent.
    • Technical Acumen: Comfortable engaging in technical product planning, understanding integration requirements, and supporting scalable architecture decisions.
    • Customer Focus: Deep empathy for customer needs and a proven track record of translating customer insights into successful product solutions. Experience facilitating industry-wide and cross-industry workshops and co-creation is a major plus.
    • Data-Driven & Outcomes Oriented: Skilled at defining metrics that matter and using data to iterate intelligently—without losing sight of the human impact
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
    • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Marketing); MBA or advanced degree preferred.

$200,000 - $250,000 a year
This range reflects our target hiring range and may vary based on skills, experience, and market conditions.
This role is also eligible for a 15% annual performance-based bonus, tied to individual and company performance goals.
In addition, the role includes participation in Instructure’s equity program designed to align long-term incentives with company performance and growth.
