Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

What you will be doing:

    • Prepare and supervise compilation of Company GAAP financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, along with internal management and board reporting
    • Perform the tie out of financial statements and coordinate and work with Accounting Operations to support disclosures
    • Work with external auditors to assist with tie out and support of financial statements  
    • Serve on technical accounting committee and drive technical accounting research across the Company
    • Draft and/or review accounting memos prepared by technical accounting committee and/ or Accounting Operations
    • Review equity transactions for accounting implications (i.e. modifications, performance based awards, etc.)
    • Prepare the calculation of basic and diluted EPS
    • Prepare the quarterly stockholder equity roll forward
    • Manage and review the annual Goodwill, intangible, and tangible asset impairment test
    • Oversee and manage the accounting for Mergers and Acquisitions and coordinate with third party valuation experts
    • Drive adoption and compliance with new accounting standards
    • Administer automation software for month-end and quarter-end close
    • Perform and document work in accordance with internal controls, and present recommendations to address areas of risk
    • Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as required

Here's what you will need to know/have:

    • Master’s or undergraduate degree in Accounting required
    • CPA License required
    • 5+ years of public accounting experience, SEC Reporting, and/ or equivalent accounting experience required
    • Accounting and financial reporting experience in technology and/or Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) industries, public company experience preferred
    • Experience working with cross-functional areas such as equity administrator, treasury, and FP&A
    • Possesses proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Strong accounting research, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
    • Experience writing complex accounting memos and related documentation
    • Ability to communicate complex accounting topics to executives
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership
    • Ability to work with 3rd party technical accounting and valuation subject matter experts
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work across Company departments
    • Possesses analytical, project management, and prioritization skills
    • Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
