About Instrumental:

Manufacturing represents half of the world’s GDP, but 20 cents of every dollar spent is wasted on things like scrap, rework, product returns, mistakes, experiments, and underutilized human resources. Put simply: solving problems in manufacturing is too hard, too inefficient, and too analog.

Instrumental is a software company with the mission of eliminating half of that unnecessary waste by accelerating product maturity in manufacturing. We empower hardware companies to optimize their factories through artificial intelligence and unprecedented data access. Thanks to Instrumental, startups and Fortune 500 hardware companies alike are increasing yields, accelerating time-to-market, and reducing the frequency of recalls and production delays.

About the Role:

As Instrumental’s Demand Generation Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving marketing campaigns that target our key personas, including designing, executing, measuring, and optimizing multi-channel demand investments to drive quality pipeline.

Our business focuses on strategic customers that have tremendous expansion potential. This means that our marketing programs target both our existing customer base and new logo pipeline for our go-to-market organization. These two areas of focus are driven by multi-touch programs that include BDR/SDR outreach, webinars, emails, digital ads, and more.

This is an opportunity to work directly with senior members of leadership to propel our marketing function forward. We are looking for someone who is a master communicator, excited to drive a breadth of marketing initiatives, and is ready to lead our team of driven BDRs to peak performance. You will work closely with these team members by training them in strategic marketing messaging and content to support pipeline growth efforts, as well as through coaching and mentoring.

What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Own pipeline generation, primarily through BDR activity
    • Enable BDR success through continuous training, content development and marketing campaigns to support inbound and outbound engagement
    • Drive feedback loops and reporting to understand and take action to improve efficiency of all lead generation programs, including advertising, campaigns, SEO, and content; and help guide the cross-channel optimization of spend and effort.
    • Actively monitor, analyze, and report on the health of marketing’s contribution to the sales pipeline, program ROI, customer acquisition and penetration, contact acquisition and activity. Provide go-to-market and business leaders with analysis for marketing investments, pipeline impact, and goal setting.
    • Own our webinar program to drive engagement with new logos and increase our engagement with new business units at existing customers.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

    • Has an analytical,  metrics-driven, system-building mindset: you will create the engine that will fuel growth for the next phase of our company
    • Has strong communication skills and can turn complex concepts into compelling messaging and campaigns.
    • Has 5+ years of experience in marketing and demand generation, across multiple successful early stage companies
    • Extensive experience with marketing automation (Pardot), website content managing (Wordpress), and other martech products for analytics and campaign management.
    • Has experience managing a BDR team and supporting team members in achieving strong pipeline growth through ad campaigns, email marketing, coaching, and creative interest driving initiatives
    • Has broad operational knowledge of marketing databases, segmentation, email execution, lead process, the scientific method, analysis, and reporting.

We’d Love to Chat if You Have:

    • A self-starter mindset with the ability to chart a course through ambiguity and a bias for action.
    • Experience in the manufacturing industry, either at a software solution within the space, or from a high volume electronics manufacturer.
    • Experience in Enterprise, B2B sales cycles in any industry.
We’re a growing team that consistently works collaboratively, is supportive of each other, and is highly energized by the opportunity for large impact. We actively work to promote an inclusive environment, valuing passion and the ability to learn. You’re encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn’t precisely match the job description!
