About You:
To be a great fit for this role, you should have a strong willingness to contribute to a team and be physically capable of performing manual labour. Previous experience in construction or similar fields is a plus. You should be eager to learn new tasks, be adaptable to changing priorities, and maintain a positive attitude in a busy, fast-paced environment.
You enjoy working with others and have good communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate effectively. You are proactive in assisting the team and have a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
What You Will Do:
You will be part of a hardworking and busy team that includes carpenters, machine operators, and other laborers, working together under the guidance of supervisors and team leads.
Your tasks will vary daily and may include moving materials, assisting with assembly, keeping the workspace clean, and supporting production processes. You will help prepare materials, may operate basic tools and equipment, and ensure work areas stay safe and organized. As you gain experience, you will learn to handle different materials, such as insulation, membranes, and timber components.
While you will work indoors and outdoors in our yard, your role will involve assisting with both manual and mechanical tasks, ensuring the production floor runs smoothly and efficiently.

The Responsibilities, include but not limited to:
- Arrive punctually and ready for work, equipped with the necessary tools and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow instructions to ensure work meets specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment around the facility.
- Help with preparing mass timber materials, ensuring they are ready for assembly.
- Assist in properly storing materials to avoid damage or deterioration, such as stacking timber to prevent warping.
- Assist with keeping tools and equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor for repair.
- Follow safety regulations and always use the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any unsafe work conditions, accidents, or hazards to the supervisor.
- Help clean and prepare work areas by removing debris, materials, and other obstacles.
- Keep workstations clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Dispose of or recycle wood scraps, offcuts, and packaging materials according to company practices.
- Participate in on-the-job training and learn from more experienced workers.
- Work closely with other team members, including carpenters and machine operators, to help meet production goals.
- Contribute actively to team efforts, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Report any issues, delays, or safety concerns to the Production Lead.
- Look for ways to improve your tasks and work efficiently.
- Be open to feedback and help out with any tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Adhere to administrative policies and procedures as updated periodically.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level 1 or 2 Occupational First Aid certification
- Rigging ticket
- Class I forklift license
- Telehandler ticket
- WHIMS

Skills & Experience, Required:
- Previous experience in general labour or construction is preferred
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving materials.
- Basic understanding of construction or manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to team efforts.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions and relay information to team members and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Important to Mention!
- Must provide your own CSA-approved 6” safety footwear, required.
- Certain job tasks will require you to be clean-shaven and wear a fit-tested respirator or N95 mask
- Proof of ability to remain and work in Canada.
- Successful candidates may be required to submit to a background check.
$22 - $24 an hour
We expect the hourly pay for this position to be between $22 and $24.
Subject to change, your pay will be based on market evaluation and various job-related factors, including your past work experience, relevant education and certifications (journeyman/unticketed), etc. Benefits are offered after 3 months.
