Are you excited about elevating the world’s consciousness? As a Senior Product Designer at Interaxon, you’ll help turn our product vision into reality. You are a design thinker who is experienced in merging skills in visual design, UX, User Research, data-driven decision making and product management to create and deliver engaging interactions with clean usable interfaces in a mobile app. You are a proactive contributor who enjoys working with emerging technologies and has a strong understanding of the collaboration between designers and engineers. You'll work with a skilled and kind multidisciplinary team to bring meaningful design solutions into the lives of our customers. This role is remote-friendly, with a preference for candidates based in Canada.
Your Role
- Collaborate with cross disciplinary development teams, ensuring product design needs are specified and communicated, deadlines are met, and an industry leading experience is delivered to our users.
- Contribute to product roadmap and feature prioritization. Organize and lead design workshops to define and sketch new potential features and products.
- Lead user research, exploratory research and user tests to learn about our users, validate assumptions and iterate on prototypes.
- Understand business goals, and define quarterly and yearly goals specific to raising the quality of our products.
- Design interface concepts for new features and communicate them through wireframes, prototypes and animations.
- Share your prototypes with application developers to ensure constraints are taken into account, and that your visual concepts are understood and implemented successfully on native platforms. Iterate based on engineering feedback.
- Work within brand guidelines and collaborate with our marketing team to ensure that all interface design concepts align with the visual brand without sacrificing usability.
- Lead the creation and updates of our Design System. Establish best practices and communicate them successfully across the organization.
What You Have
- A genuine interest in meditation/mindfulness or in learning about it.
- 5+ years experience designing and bringing apps or digital products to market, demonstrated with a strong portfolio.
- Experience managing all aspects of shipping product features, from concept through to post-launch, including research and validation.
- Curious and passionate about understanding our users through feedback, research, and data insights. Ability to apply that knowledge to create high-impact user experiences through user-centered design practices, excellent tactical visual skills and a solid knack for storytelling.
- Self motivated to clearly present and justify requirements and designs to various stakeholders, articulating requirements to developers and conveying ROI to business leaders.
- Proficiency in creating mockups, rapid prototypes and animations using Figma, Invision.
- A deep understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and/or Google’s Material Design standards.
- Strong knowledge of the latest digital product trends, product management and design practices (Agile, Lean UX, design sprints (GV), and/or design thinking.
- Managerial experience is preferred
