Impact of Role
In this role your impact will be seen in your ability to:
- Win new business by guiding our teams to product differentiated research content
- Push the quality of modelling & analytics across multiple teams to the next level
- Help build a strong and lasting brand amongst our client base
- Help build deep relationships with our clients founded on the success

Responsibilities

    • Hiring Excellent Talent: Ensuring our teams are staffed with extremely talented people covering the necessary range of skills needed to achieve our goals. Work closely with our product teams to understand what is needed and with our talent acquisition team to set up hiring pipelines & implement active recruitment strategies such as going to conferences. We will need you to recruit & effectively onboard exceptional tech talent.

    • Coaching: Support & develop our research talent to go to the next level of their careers by providing high-level guidance as well as specific cases, problem-solving and concepts. Do this through 1:1s & continuous feedback.

    • Setting & Achieving Clear Objectives: Work with company leadership & product team leads to create well-defined objectives in the form of OKRs that focus on business/product outcomes, not output. Ensure that teams understand these objectives, are empowered to solve the problems at hand & are accountable for their success. Lead on communication with stakeholders from other teams, creating focus space for engineers to do their best work.

    • Setting Research Standards: We strive to produce highly differentiated & valuable research content for our institutional clients & we need someone to set, oversee & maintain those standards as well as foster a culture of curiosity, continual learning and improvement. Areas to focus on may include an approach to client-facing research, quality of communication & content breadth & quality.

Requirements - (Our requirements are listed in order of importance with the first point being the most important requirement)

    • Extensive research or investment experience (7+ years) working on the cutting edge of investment strategy in an institutional environment
    • Experience in communicating deep financial research concepts to external parties
    • Advanced financial modelling skills
    • Experience managing a team: Hiring, managing & coaching talent to success
    • A deep and broad interest and knowledge of financial markets, it would be great to see qualifications like CFA or similar.
