We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Application Developer to join our dynamic team. In this position, reporting to the Manager, Battery Control Software, you will be responsible for designing and building software that forms the heart of our distributed control and management platform.
This software has two key purposes - providing mission critical battery system functionality that can respond reliably and timeously to grid demands; and collecting and processing data for our cloud-based analytics platform. You will be exposed to real-time control, reliable networking and high performance computing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded Linux software applications for our energy systems.
- Develop and implement algorithms for energy management and battery control.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components.
- Optimize system performance and ensure high reliability and efficiency.
- Promote good software engineering practices through design and code reviews, ensuring maintainable, efficient, and scalable software
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellence in creating C/C++ application software for embedded Linux platforms.
- Experience developing mission-critical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in an agile development environment and taking initiative in designs.
- Familiarity with tools such as git, cmake, Jira, Jenkins.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- · Experience in the energy / power sector, including energy storage systems, renewable power systems, and power generation.
- · Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
$120,000 - $130,000 a year
