We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Project Manager to assist with Elevator modernization projects. As the Project Manager, you will work closely with the Modernization Project Manager, Regional Managers, and Mechanics to assist, develop, and implement project action plans concerning resources, materials, budgets, and schedules. You will support Project Management efforts to assure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Your primary duties will be focused on safety, controlling workflow, scheduling assignments, evaluating project needs, and reporting status to management.
 

Responsibilities:

    • Support Safety-First culture through application of project safety plan and daily safety topics
    • Participate in project planning meetings and regular project status review meetings
    • Support all aspects of delivering project quality and assurance of flawless execution
    • Manage and adjust overall project schedule within Microsoft Project
    • Document and maintain action registers with item descriptions, owners, and due dates
    • Plan and manage daily team goals to achieve project schedules and milestones
    • Conduct daily huddle meetings to maintain focus on work accomplished during prior shift, planned work for next shift, and resolving any issues or barriers for the team
    • Monitor and coordinate project team members and vendors to keep workflow on track
    • Manage project-related documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications, permits) by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored (electronic and hardcopy)
    • Direct correspondences by preparing and reviewing meeting agenda / notes, memos, and emails
    • Monitor project planned costs and actual expenditures by maintaining a project Estimate at Completion (EAC)
    • Interface with SECO Accounting Team for project milestone invoices and vendor payments
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of project materials
    • Document all project impacts to schedule, scope, or budget
    • Draft SECO Change Notice forms when appropriate and review with Management

The successful Project Manager candidate will:

    • Possess Technical Knowledge of the Elevator Industry
    • Be a fast learner that always seeks continuous improvement and flawless execution
    • Be detail oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment that strives for perfection
    • Be analytical and capable of quickly extracting data from software systems for decision making
    • Be accurate and enjoy working with schedules, budgets, and proposals for new projects
    • Enjoys working in both office and field environments, and willing to travel (up to 20% of time)
    • Embodies a team oriented “Make-it-happen” mindset, with excellent intrapersonal skills
    • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) Adobe Acrobat, and MS Project

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business or Finance
