The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. We’re looking for a candidate that has a strong sense of ownership, drive, and creative problem-solving skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge Class III medical devices and support a range of hardware and software engineering efforts. You will contribute to hardware design, testing, and tool development, helping the team streamline workflows and focus on more advanced system architecture. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D environment.
Responsibilities
- Electrical Hardware Design and Maintenance
- Update and maintain schematic designs and PCB layouts
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Coordinate with Vendors for prototype fabrication and assembly.
- Assist in hardware bring-up and validation testing.
- Software and Tool Development:
- Collaborate with the firmware team to support hardware bring-up and testing using C/C++ and Python.
- Develop Python tools for lab automation and data acquisition.
- Create sample applications and tutorials for internal tools and libraries.
- Work on coding, debugging, and testing for the projects.
- Testing, Validation and Hardware Integration
- Assist in hardware, firmware, software and system-level integration.
- Support bench testing, debugging, and hardware characterization.
- Document test plans, procedures and results in a clear and organized manner.
- Documentation
- Create comprehensive documentation for projects and libraries.
- Maintain clear and organized records of development processes and results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with circuit schematics, PCB tools, and basic firmware concepts
- Familiarity with programming in C/C++ and Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
$100,000 - $130,000 a year
