Scope of the position
We are looking for a charismatic Technical Sales professional whose goal is to implement the commercial strategy for the ice cream market and the assigned customer portfolio to achieve sales targets. This role will maintain relationships with customers, analyze product needs, and promote new business opportunities, also in collaboration with the area manager and distributor. Additionally, you will support the sales team in implementing our commercial strategy in the assigned area, based on the guidelines provided for the ice cream market. The implementation of the commercial strategy in the assigned area (Hamburg-Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Northern Lower Saxony) involves managing customer relationships through coordination of the distributor network and monitoring the area to ensure customer proximity and market intelligence.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the sales team and distributor team to provide the best possible service to end customers, analyze their needs, and develop new commercial and/or technical solutions in line with business the commercial strategy for the relevant channels and customers based on the received guidelines.
- Effectively and purposefully manage customer relationships and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other Key Accounts and Sales Managers to identify and develop technical and commercial synergies.
- Develop and implement customer/area/channel plans.
- Identify growth drivers for the managed customer portfolio.
- Monitor and analyze competition and share relevant information with the company to support business strategy.
- Manage sales forecasts and revenue expectations.
- Contribute to product/process innovation processes.
- Conduct reporting and participate in on-site meetings.
Technical and Personal Skills:
- Education: Preferably a degree and background in the ice cream sector.
- Technical Skills: Technical knowledge in the field of ice cream, familiarity with ice cream ingredients and the general IRCA product range. Strong technical knowledge and extensive experience in product application. Excellent communication skills, ability to analyze and forecast, planning and goal achievement abilities, and knowledge of sales techniques.
- Experience: 5+ years of technical and commercial experience.
- Languages: English, German.
- Computer Skills: MS Office. Behavioral Requirements: Strong result orientation. Leadership skills. Ability to understand customer needs. Problem-solving skills.
- Other: Knowledge of relevant channels and main customers. Willingness to travel over 75% of the time.
- Preferred: Previous experience managing employees/agents.B2B experience. Background in a structured professional environment.
