Senior Production Supervisor

Irca Group seeks an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Supervisor to oversee and lead our supervisory and production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, quality control, and production efficiency, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. This role is crucial for ensuring our products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety, while meeting production goals. We are requiring someone to work onsite daily at our Plant located in Affton, MO. 

Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production supervisors and line workers. Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster a positive and safe working environment.
    • Production Oversight: Oversee daily production activities to ensure all products are manufactured efficiently, on time, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve performance based on the key performance indicators 
    • Operational efficiency measuring uptime performance. To achieve  world class uptime, constantly determine sources of unnecessary  downtimes in changeover, breakdown, quality procedures and organization. Monitor shift performance, coach team on that basis, constantly seek  ways to improve through observations, data gathering, problem solving  working groups and initiation of appropriate actions
    • Quality and Food Safety: Implement and monitor all food safety and quality control programs, including HACCP and GMPs. Ensure all products meet or exceed regulatory and company quality standards.
    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Analyze production data to make informed decisions.
    • Safety and Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents.
    • Inventory and Scheduling: Collaborate with other departments to manage raw material inventory, production schedules, and finished goods to meet demand.
    • Effectively contribute to problem resolution by participating in and/or leading PSG efforts 
    • Swiftly communicate within the department with other shifts, maintenance, engineering, and plant manager about conditions which require attention or decisions
    • Other related tasks, as required.

Requirements:

    • Experience: A minimum of 7 + years of experience in a production supervision role within the manufacturing industry, preferably food.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs) and quality assurance standards.
    • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
