IRCA is a leading international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry and gelato markets, serving independent producers as well as large food manufacturers (e.g. CPG). Core products include chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.
The Company, headquartered in Italy, was acquired by Advent International, the global Private Equity firm, in July 2022, and has a strong track record of growth over the last decade. IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently acquired a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high-value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.
This transformative deal created a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022)

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, liaising with hauliers and warehouses, and ensuring timely delivery of orders to meet customer expectations. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including administrative tasks, customer communication, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with hauliers and warehouses to coordinate order pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain clear communication with customer care regarding order status and transportation plans.
- Coordinate UK and European outbound transportation in alignment with business requirements.
- Generate dispatch documentation via SAP and manage export documentation processes.
- Manage administrative duties and assist with general supply chain tasks as required.
- Maintain weekly updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation and customer service.
- Handle customer complaints, conduct investigations, and provide timely responses.
- Support the Supply Chain team with order processing and customer rejections.
- Assist with customer sample requests and haulier quotations for potential new business opportunities.
- Attend site meetings and demonstrate flexibility in covering various supply chain tasks.

Applicant Requirements:

Skills and Experience:
- Experience in an administrative role is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages and Business Systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to process information accurately and with attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience in the food manufacturing industry (desirable).
- Experience working with SAP (desirable).
