JOB PURPOSE
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the 2 onsite warehouses. Responsibilities include material flow to internal customers, inbound shipping of raw materials, outbound shipping and shuttles, scheduling and organizing orders. Must effectively communicate with both Plant Supply Chain, Corporate Supply Chain, customers and carriers.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the efficient operations and inventory of the plant warehouses and assists with co-manufacturing processes.
- Responsible for organizing the warehouse and the workflow.
- Maintaining inventory based on FEFO and assist in preventing customer service issues.
- Manages Infor M3 warehouse transactions for both internal and external customers.
- Responsible for delivery of KPI’s for warehouse and cost control.
- Assist in timely processing of orders, accuracy of pick-ups, quantity of pick-ups per employee and providing resources for cycle counts.
- Coordinate transportation carriers and ensuring all scheduled shipping and receiving appointments are timely and in support of production and customer requirements.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for forklift use and general warehousing and ensure these regulations are in place and enforced.
- Good understanding of Hazardous shipping, allergen control, and GMP guidelines.
- Manage all fleet repairs and warehouse repairs to ensure we are within working order.
- Lead and direct the team members to be complaint with all safety, food safety, and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments on customer complaints, production issues, cost, etc.
- Ensuring warehouse operations are appropriately staffed and employees are properly trained and certified to execute their duties.
- Create a positive work environment that promotes accountability and embodies teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates should have previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing warehouse and distribution leadership role
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change. Proven experience in various management/leadership positions. Demonstrated ability to be a champion for change.
