IRCA is a leading international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry and gelato markets, serving independent producers as well as large food manufacturers (e.g. CPG). Core products include chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.
The Company, headquartered in Italy, was acquired by Advent International, the global Private Equity firm, in July 2022, and has a strong track record of growth over the last decade. IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.
This transformative deal would create a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022).
 
Purpose of the role:

The Plant Controller acts through expertise in: Product Costing, Continuous Improvement, and variance analysis, as a business partner for the various functions both at site and centrally. The Plant Controller is responsible for supporting the management team in making timely and effective decisions with the aim of adding value and driving efficiency.

This opportunity is a full time, permanent role which will support Irca, Tilburg. We envisage that in time the role will expand to cover both Irca NL (3 days) and Dobla NL (2 days)

Key responsibilities
·       Preparation of reports including target/actual variance analyses
·       Substitution in finance/financial statements
·       Manufacturing cost calculation per product.
·       Independent analyses and initiatives for the ongoing optimization of manufacturing costs
·       Profitability calculations and identifying areas for cost optimization
·       Support of the plant management in continuous improvement projects and adhoc requests
·       Support on strategic investment & fixed asset management
·       Preparation and evaluation of regular forecasts and annual budget for plant
 
Qualifications & Skills
·       ACCA or CIMA qualified not essential but preferred
·       Controlling experience in the manufacturing industry
·       Some experience in financial accounting (GL, AP)
·       Focus on modern production cost controlling
·       Very good understanding of business contexts
·       Self-initiative, assertiveness, independent analytical way of working
·       Good communication skills
·       ERP experience (such as SAP, Infor)
·       Very good knowledge of Excel and Power Point and in dealing with IT systems
·       Travel expectation – None
