About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our team in the Netherlands. In this role, you’ll lead a small team of technicians, keep our production equipment running smoothly, and make sure everything is up to standard when it comes to food safety and workplace safety. You’ll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting our site’s day-to-day operations and improvement projects.
Team & Reporting
You’ll be part of the Site Leadership Team and work closely with a regional network of Maintenance Managers.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and limit production downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and boost reliability.
- Lead and support a team of around 5 maintenance technicians.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with food safety (HACCP, GMP) and safety regulations.
- Manage maintenance budgets and coordinate external contractors.
- Identify and implement process and equipment improvements.
- Contribute to new installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
- Solid experience leading a small team.
- Strong know-how in preventive maintenance and scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Fluent in Dutch; English is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A collaborative, open, and straightforward communication style.
