Ironclad Technology Services is hiring a UX Design Lead with experience in creating well-crafted, user-centered products. You will be a co-equal partner on a team committed to using research, design, and engineering to deliver well-rounded cloud-based applications and services. You will work with our government partners to better understand and translate policy and business requirements into good design.


    • Defines vision and standards in the execution of user experience design.
    • Approves new standards as needed and acts as a thought leader for the function.
    • Proactively identifies the need for and initiates new, complex multi-step user flows that impact multiple functions using various design tools (e.g. experience and service design maps, journey maps, concepts, storyboards, wire frames and prototypes).
    • Oversees the work of their team to ensure best practices are consistently employed.
    • Oversees the collection and dissemination of user research, concept testing, usability testing and quantitative analysis to make highly complex and technical design recommendations with broad impact.
    • Acts as an advocate for the end user across multiple cross-functional teams.
    • Develops and executes research plans to uncover and solve a range of problems.
    • Nimbly adapt research plans as a client’s needs shift
    • Delivers research insights in a way that generates emotion and engagement from the immediate team and senior stakeholders
    • Dive deep into qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights that generate product and service innovations


    • Familiarity with the following core disciplines: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design.
    • Requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff.
    • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset
    • Understanding of related technical skills, including things like APIs, databases, front end technologies


    • Familiarity with the following core disciplines: visual design, UX design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design.
    • Advanced experience with User Centered Design and MVP concepts.
    • Experience with complex UI modernizations
    • Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of experience
    • 10+ years of relevant experience
    • Eligible for DOD Secret Clearance


    • Minimal travel may be required

Physical Demands

    • Remains in a sitting/stationary position continually or almost continually during the work day
    • Operates a computer and performs desk-based computer tasks continually; frequently viewing a computer screen
    • Rarely lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects and/or equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds
