Islands is a technology company that builds economic infrastructure for the community economy. Communities of all sizes can use our software to manage digital assets and pay people and projects globally. Our vision is to create a new community platform that is open and accessible.

We are funded by major VC funds and individuals such as founders and executives from Reddit, Twitch, Shopify, Notion, Coinbase, and more.

As our first Community Success Associate, you'll work closely with strategic communities and creators to discover their business needs and challenges and then advise them on the best ways to use Islands.

Creative, energetic, and self-driven, you understand creators and know how to be a trusted partner so companies stay and grow with Islands.

To be successful, you must be able to manage numerous creators at different stages of the customer journey with ease.

You also love understanding a product in depth and then communicating that product to users.

In this role, you will collaborate with Marketing and Product Engineering to help orchestrate and drive success for our creators.

You will also act as the voice of our creators internally at Islands.

This role can be contract or full time.
If contract, we'd require a minimum of 20 hours a week.

Here's what your day to day looks like:

    • Become our communities' and creators' strategic consultant, learning about their business priorities, and guiding them on how to best leverage Islands
    • Onboard and assist new strategic communities and creators, while simultaneously managing multiple creators who are at different points on the account lifecycle
    • Moderating and engaging in communities
    • Collaborate within the community to feed into other parts of the business
    • Discover and evangelize new use cases for communities & creators, helping them to deepen and expand their usage of the product
    • Identify common problems within each account and develop strategies to solve each issue in a very timely manner whilst also developing foolproof methods to ensure scalable solutions
    • Identify opportunities to develop new training materials designed to ensure successful community & creator onboarding, support business-wide adoption, and deepen Islands proficiency
    • Bring summarized product feedback and recommendations from creators back to Product team
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Islands functionality, use cases, and technology partners

Here's what we're looking for:

    • 2+ years experience in working with creators and communities
    • Ability to develop rapport and establish trust with community leaders, creators, agents and managers
    • Entrepreneurial and a hands-on style with a strong bias towards action while working effectively in an innovative environment that values collaboration without ego
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. You love asking open-ended questions to really get to the root of the matter!
    • High level of discipline ā€“ you're a self-starter who holds yourself accountable to exceed expectations
    • A passion for delivering the highest level of service and driving value for a portfolio of creators
    • Communicates effectively and succinctly with savvy business acumen

Bonus if you have this:

    • Experience building no-code / low-code workflows
    • Experience using tools like Intercom and Discord
    • Experience or interest in crypto, NFTs, DAOs
