At Islands, we're looking for a seasoned business leader to help us build the leading NFT community platform. As the Business Development & Partnerships manager, you will have a wide range of responsibilities to support the COO and business operations organization around go-to-market and monetization strategy. In this role you will partner closely with the COO and act as a force multiplier to help execute strategic business initiatives as well as work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy.

Here's what your day to day responsibilities looks like:

    • Establish an develop durable, long lasting relationships both internally and externally with creators, developers and partners that contribute to our business strategy
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing and operations to develop product features to address key partner needs and unlock strategic opportunities
    • Own the end-to-end deal process with creators, communities and brands, acting as the primary point of contact as well as driving opportunities from prioritization and pitch through negotiation, close and implementation
    • Lead quarterly & monthly partnerships strategy meetings reviewing progress and presenting new opportunities
    • Oversee strategic projects including but not limited to payment, international, and regulatory strategy
    • Identify, develop, and lead new initiatives focused on driving platform growth
    • Scale the function as the company grows, attracting and developing amazing talent

Here's what we're looking for in an ideal candidate:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills with a knack for following through
    • High degree of integrity, judgement and critical thinking necessary to lead significant deals with autonomy and authority
    • Ability to motivate and lead from behind cross-functionally and actively prioritize and manage resources efficiently
    • Someone who thrives in collaborative cultures with a huge focus on driving execution from ideation to successful partnership launches
    • Ability to establish trust and deepen relationships with stakeholders both intenrally and externally
    • Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to create clarity
    • Leverage creative thinking and dealmaking to close complex partnerships
    • Utilize data to provide actionable insights and ensure we’re driving toward the best possible outcome

Bonus if you have this:

    • 5+ years of industry experience in a business development or partnerships role
    • Strong domain expertise in strategic areas including business operations, legal, finance, recruiting, and strategy
    • Prior experience hiring and managing teams globally
    • Prior experience managing service providers and strategic partners
