Role Description
We are seeking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and well-organized Associate Scientist with a focus on developing, implementing, and executing high-throughput cell-based assays and in-vivo POC assays as a part of the preclinical team in Research and Translational Medicine Department at Jasper. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent hands-on laboratory experience with a strong understanding of the scientific principles and experimental precision. The successful candidate will also have strong communication skills, ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with a commitment to excellence and great attentions to detail.
$100,000 - $110,000 a year

Key Responsibilities
· Execute independently and effectively various in vitro high-throughput cell-based functional assays and in vivo animal studies in line with project timelines and goals
· Support IND-enabling preclinical studies including in-house assay development, maintaining multiple cell lines and investigating proof-of-concept in vivo studies
· Design and optimize new studies with general guidance and work independently to execute experiments
· Analyze and interpret scientific results with general supervision to answer scientific questions in a timely manner
· Support cross-functional teams with data analysis and contribute to internal and external scientific data discussions
· Present data at individual, project and department meetings and write scientific reports
· Maintain detailed records of experimental design, procedure and results
· Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation with guidance
· Maintain inventory of lab reagents and order new supplies accordingly
· Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning

Qualifications
· Degree in Immunology, Cell or Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences or related discipline with 5+ years of related experience in academia or industry for BS/BA or 3+ years of related experience for MS
· At least 2 years relevant hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
· Extensive experience with FACS, multi-color flow cytometry, panels design, and data analysis is required
· Experience with high-throughput cell-based functional assays and MSD platforms is highly preferred
· Experiences working with in vivo animal models is a plus.
· Technical expertise in mammalian cell culture using aseptic tissue culture techniques is required, experience in hematopoietic stem cell and primary immune cell culture is a plus
· Proficiency at using data analysis tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism is required
· Strong organizational skills and record keeping with attention to detail is required
· Demonstrated ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment, coordinate tasks across multiple projects to meet deadlines is required
· Strong, clear communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to manage timelines
· Excited and flexible about working in a dynamic and fast paced biotech environment

What We Offer
· The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $100,000 – $110.000 but will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience and location.
