The General Manager plays a key leadership role overseeing both JETSET Pilates Soho and Chelsea studios. This dynamic individual is passionate about growth, team development, and delivering an exceptional client experience that embodies the JETSET brand. The General Manager will complete the JETSET Pilates training program and instruct an average of 8 classes per week, while being present in the studios during class times for a minimum of 25 classes per week. This position requires balancing instruction, operations, and leadership responsibilities across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations for both Soho and Chelsea studios, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with company-wide standards.
- Lead by example in delivering an elevated client experience consistent with brand standards.
- Analyze key performance indicators — including sales, utilization, retention, expenses, and payroll — and proactively implement strategies to exceed goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute local marketing initiatives that drive client acquisition and community engagement.
- Respond to all client inquiries, issues, and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Cultivate strong relationships within the local health, fitness, and wellness communities, as well as with influencers and potential corporate partners.
- Create, manage, and maintain class and staff schedules to optimize studio performance.
- Oversee inventory management for supplies, retail, and beverages.
- Plan and lead team meetings, trainings, and social events that foster connection, motivation, and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor instructors and studio leads, ensuring ongoing development and career growth.
- Drive overall studio performance, focusing on metrics such as class utilization, first-time visits, and membership growth.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Proven leadership experience in fitness, hospitality, or a client-focused industry.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities; able to adapt quickly and think on their feet.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for health, wellness, and the JETSET Pilates brand.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities across locations.
Salary Range
- Base salary of $72,000–$79,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus structure.
