Position Summary:
The MRO shop plays a pivotal role in the execution of maintenance events, contributing to planning, purchasing, on-site work, the rental process (when applicable), test cell operations, and return-to-service (RTS) documentation.
During event execution, it is critical to monitor shop processes closely to identify and overcome bottlenecks. This position is essential for maintaining control over shop activities, ensuring timely updates on progress and challenges, and providing solutions to keep events on track, and most important avoiding any delays. The ability to resolve issues effectively and proactively is key to the success of this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position is based in the MRO shop to ensure close supervision and real-time engagement.
- Monitor shop events to ensure progress remains on schedule and address issues as they arise.
- Monitor in house component repairs ensuring timely return for engine build.
- Monitor OEM and third party piece part orders and delivery timeline.
- Provide regular updates to the Engine PLS team on the status of events.
- Identify potential shop challenges in advance and develop solutions to streamline operations and minimize disruptions.
- Ensure JSSI engines receive priority attention at the shop to meet timelines and quality standards.
- Actively address and overcome obstacles to prevent delays in shop events, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Review post repair certifications/paperwork for accuracy
Education and Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience with turbine-powered business aircraft; with a specific focus on heavy engine maintenance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation field preferred
- Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and write articulately and analytically
- Clear understanding of relevant technical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Well organized

For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $42,000 to $62,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, your total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, incentive or sales bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on your role.
