💁 About this position

As a Developer Marketing Manager, you would get the chance to work with Jina's global marketing team to aid in helping deepen the understanding of the open-source community and serve as the primary source of contact between the user contact groups and Jina AI.
You will be responsible for enhancing the relationship with developers, driving the growth of our developers' community, and digging out insights from the community. We are looking for passionate community builders with great ownership, strong communication skills, and proficient project management skills.


    • EMEA Event Management: Scout, organize, and promote events in EMEA region including self-host events, collaborated events, and sponsored events such as office hours, user group meetings, and conferences, hackathons. Improve events audiences' engagement journey with a better experience to drive conversion. Track event performance and generate event reports with insights.
    • Community Allies: Build and maintain relationships with EMEA tech communities and push forward collaboration opportunities. Be responsible for improving our product awareness among external communities.
    • Advocates Development: Identify key members of the community from EMEA region, including developers, power users, and influencers, and maintain good relationships with them. Empower European advocates to become community heroes and develop local communities such as in their cities and universities.
    • Community Insights: interview & User Story: Conduct interviews with developers based in EMEA serve as a liaison between the Regional community and the company, communicating community feedback to the appropriate internal stakeholders. Generate stories based on interviews to showcase the application of the Jina ecosystem.


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
    • 3+ years experience in community management and event management with proven achievements
    • Experience with open-source software development is preferred
    • Has strong English written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in German or any EU languages is a plus
    • Has strong project management skills and a result-driven mindset.
    • Passionate about AI and machine learning
💼 Hiring Process

Candidates can expect the hiring process to follow the order below. Please keep in mind that candidates can be declined from the position at any stage of the process. 

- The first round is the CV screening, candidates will receive an email that contains a link for booking the next round. This process takes a maximum of one week.

- Qualified candidates will be invited to schedule a 30-minute screening call specifically on Zoom with one of our global recruiters. For engineering candidates, after this interview candidates will receive an email and be asked to complete an offline code challenge. On average the candidates can finish it in 30 minutes.

- Next, candidates will be invited to schedule Peer Interviews with team members from the relevant team. There are two rounds of Peer Interview, 1st is Technical Peer Interview and the 2nd is Team Peer Interview. For engineering candidates, the team will examine the quality of the offline challenge as well as you fundamental knowledge and coding skill during the Technical Peer Interview; one should also expect a live-coding challenge in 10 to 15 minutes. As long as candidates passed the Technical Peer Interview, they will be invited to talk with specific Team Lead in the Team Peer Interview stage. The interview will be more relevant to practical problem solving.

- Finally, candidates will be invited to schedule a 30-minute interview with CXO.

We will collect the feedback from all interviewers and make a decision in a maximum of two weeks (on average it takes 5 working days). Then the candidate will be invited to another 15-minute call with our recruiters to discuss the terms of the offer.
